Edward Jones & Team In Training

Invest in a future without Cancer

Team In Training offers an unmatched opportunity for employees to participate in a wellness program that incorporates physical activity, community and cause.

For more than 30 years we’ve professionally trained athletes at all levels and delivered an inspiring event weekend experience guaranteed to be a once in a lifetime adventure. Over 650,000 teammates have raised $1.5 billion in our quest to take cancer to the finish line.

Edward Jones employees have raised over $200,000 with Team In Training and have crossed the finish line at endurance events across the county. From a 5k to a marathon, from a cycle ride to a triathlon to a hike, Edward Jones employees are helping The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) beat cancer to the finish line.

The Team In Training program has served to prepare me for all of the amazing things that I am today, a loving mother, a successful entrepreneur, a servant leader, and much more.

My TNT journey started in 2008 when I accomplished the impossible; I completed my 1st full marathon with the love and support of my coaches, teammates, and community. Crossing the finish line shattered every preconceived notion of what I could and could not accomplish. I learned that I could accomplish anything; that my life could serve to positively impact the lives of others; that wonderful things can happen when you keep showing up, even on the worst days.

My last (most recent) TNT event was the Loggerhead Triathlon in Juno Beach, FL in August of 2010. This event was the most challenging in that it forced me to take action in overcoming my fears. I was not a good swimmer, I was not in shape, I was not fast, and not to mention that I did not know how to ride a bike. In fact, all I knew was that I could raise the funds needed to further the research and that through my efforts someone's life would be blessed.

In October of that year, after crossing the finish line at Loggerhead, I became an Edward Jones Financial Advisor. My TNT experience had prepared the character needed to be a faithful advocate and steward of trusting relationships. I am fortunate to be a part of the LLS & Edward Jones family. A family where we invest in ourselves and others so that collectively we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

I joined Team In Training as a participant in the Fall of 2009 because I wanted help and support in completing my first triathlon. What I found was an amazing organization filled with an army of dedicated and passionate people, in support of a great cause, much like Edward Jones. I was involved with TNT, both as a participant and as a coach for 3 years before starting my career with Edward Jones and I am getting involved again with this great organization as a Head Coach for the San Diego/Hawaii Chapter 2020 Triathlon Team.

I have been involved with Team in Training ever since my father-in-law passed away from Multiple Myeloma in 2011. My most recent event was the 2019 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend as a part of team Just Peachy which was lead by my wife and mother in-law; where with a team of many others, we raised over $160,000 in my father in-law's name. Being a part of Team In Training has always been a great experience for me as it allows me to push my self physically and philanthropically, but I always know that I am not doing it alone. I have met many wonderful people at Team in Training and I know that they are always around to help me meet my next goal.
